The School Art and cooking is the gastronomy department of Dante Alighieri school in siena . The courses take place in a large newly furnished and fully equipped kitchen in the center of Siena where partecipants can work " HANDS ON " under the guidance and expertise of the chef . Each session foresees the elaboration of a full menu from antipasti , primo piatto, secondo piatto con contorno and dessert . Intensive courses are scheduled around a specific theme . The lessons help to develop the study and use of ingredients, through a step by step "hands on" cookery lessons, concluding in tasting what you have prepared in the frescoed dining room or on the panoramic terrace of the school. Intensive culinary courses are generally held in the morning, leaving the afternoon free to discover the medieval city of siena and its treasures or study Italian language. The school is a fantastic meeting point for culinary lovers of all ages and nationalities creating an international friendly and "tasty" admosphere .
