Il Bareto
Il Bareto stands alone among the rolling
hills, in 8 hectares of private land, with many age-old chestnut and
oak trees. The house is somewhat out of the way - 200 m from the
main road - accessible via a private drive. Its excellent, solitary
position guarantees peace, quiet and outstanding panoramic views
over the wide Siena countryside. From the garden, the eye roams
across a wide field, coming to rest upon the wonderful renaissance
castle, Castello di Celsa and wanders into the distance to enjoy
the silhouette of Siena. In the middle of the lawn, there is a
delightful pool with sun-lounges. It has been built in the former
manure reservoir and is 10 x 5 m in size. The area around Bareto has
remained unspoiled, in its natural beauty - forests and fields as
far as the eye can see. This is a wonderful place for walking,
particularly during spring and fall. Il Bareto is a large country
house with several smaller adjacent buildings, such as the former
chestnut barn, the wood store and a hay barn.. Part of the main
house is occupied by the owners. There are three holiday apartments:
one large unit of 160 m2 (ground floor) + another unit of 120 m2
(first floor) is in another wing of the main house, while a smaller
unit of 30 m2 can be found in part of the annex. The two apartments
apartments are on the ground floor. The owner has recently
completely renovated her house in a most commendable manner, with a
great eye for detail. The apartments have been cleverly and
tastefully designed and furnished. Terracotta floors, a few warm
wooden floors and open wooden beam-work create a homely atmosphere.
Some of the brick and stone door frames have also been exposed. The
elegant bathrooms in the spacious Pratolino and I Carri apartments
are particularly large. The interior style is a successful
combination of the traditional and the modern. A selection of
antique furniture contrasts harmoniously with the Mediterranean
shades of color on the walls: warm apricot and faded blue and lilac
lend the apartment a modern tone. Each apartment has its own outdoor
area. The large unit has a lawn in front of the kitchen. The smaller
unit has a large and very private terrace. There is a possibility of
an extension with composed of two bathrooms and two bedrooms and a
sitting room

1 kitchen living-room, small table for 2-3 people, two wicker
chairs and a single bed, 1 double room, 1 bathroom (shower). The
long, narrow living room has a glass door, leading to the 50 m2
terrace. The terrace has been furnished with a table and chairs and
offers privacy. Patio is located in the annex/ground floor, about 10
m from the main house, and at the rear of the summer kitchen. It is
mostly used for additions to parties of Pratolino.
PRATOLINO 160 qm (4+1 Pers.)
1 living room with access to inner courtyard, 1 kitchen living-room
with marble double sink and waist-high fireplace for cooking (modern
stove with oven also available!) and access down a couple of steps
to the lawn with seated area, 1 double room with writing table, 1
spacious 2-3 bed room, 2 large bathrooms (shower). The apartment has
a washing machine and portable CD stereo. Pratolino is in a wing of
the main house/ground floor, with separate entrance via the kitchen
or living room.

1 living room with huge fire-place, 1 double room with ensuite
bathroom in the attic , 1 double room with ensuite bathroom on the

There is also a pool, used by guests and owner alike. + a summer
kitchen with wooden grill and barbecue at disposal of all the
guests.
