How to reach the
school
From the bus station
(P.zza Gramsci) to the Gastronomy School (Via T. Pendola, 37) :
Once you have arrived in Piazza Gramsci
(the bus station), go through Piazza Matteotti and continue in the
direction for Piazza del Campo; you will pass the Piazza del Monte
on your left, the headquarters for the Monte dei Paschi Bank of
Siena. When you reach the ‘Croce del Travaglio’ (crossroads by the
shops ‘Furla’ and ‘Sash’) continue straight on, keeping the Piazza
on your left. This road will bring you to Via di Città, which you
need to follow all the way along until Piazza Quattro Cantoni
(another crossroads) which is easily recognizable for the column
with the Sienese she-wolf on it. Turn left and continue down Via San
Pietro until you reach another crossroads: turn right into Via
Tommaso Pendola. Go straight on for about 200 meters and you will
reach the school – we are the last building on your left).

Staying in Siena
Siena is a
city of contrasts - from medieval treasures found within its
historic walls to modern shops and facilities located around the
city. Enjoy the tranquility found in the hidden back streets or
experience Palio preparations, races and celebrations which go on in
the main squares for over half a year. It is a small city but has a
large student population (of both Italians and foreigners), meaning
that there are plenty of places to go and things to do in your free
time - from bars and clubs to restaurants and pizzerias; from
theatres and cinemas to museums and art galleries. |
